Many people falsely believe that the "one from the rising sun" (Isaiah 41:25) was Cyrus, and that these prophecies concerning an army from Asia were already fulfilled.  This is impossible because the "one from the rising sun" calls on the name of God when he "treads on rulers as if they were mortar" (Isaiah 41:25), and Cyrus did not know or acknowledge God (Isaiah 45:1, 4-5).  Also, several of the prophecies about the coming Asian army were written after Cyrus had already come.  (See a previous section for a list of the prophecies about this future army.)
     These prophecies have not been fulfilled yet!
